Job Description

You will be joining a specialist infrastructure business operating across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK, including Water / Wastewater, Highways & Transportation, Building, Structural and Geotechnical engineering. 

We have a vacancy in our Belfast office for an Associate Civil Engineer to join our team delivering civil engineering projects primarily in water and wastewater infrastructure.  Working as part of a multidisciplinary team you will coordinate feasibility studies, design, planning, procurement and undertake construction stage project management.

 What you’ll be doing:

  • Manages the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of physical infrastructures; ensures compliance with relevant building codes and safety regulations.
  • Leads the planning, design, construction and maintenance of physical infrastructures, especially large and complex infrastructures, such as roads, bridges, channels and dams.
  • Oversees the evaluation and inspection of civil engineering projects to ensure that standards and requirements are met.
  • Reviews and approves technical documentation, such as drawings and specifications, for civil engineering projects.
  • Supervises adherence to building codes and safety regulations relevant to civil engineering.
  • Ensuring project financial and programme performance.

What we’re looking for:

  • A Civil Engineering degree with extensive experience.
  • Have achieved Chartered status.
  • Demonstrable technical experience in delivery of Water and/or Wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure design and build projects. This may include gravity/pressure pipelines, pumping stations, treatment facilities and RC structures etc.
  • Leading multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver projects within agreed scope, timeframes and budgets.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Water industry, including current industry best practice and innovations.
