We excellent opportunity for an associate business development director to join Capita’s RE&I environmental team in London.

We are looking for an individual with excellent relationship building skills who can work with target clients and framework partners to develop with our bid team successful tender opportunities.

Your background will need to be within a construction / affordable housing field and experience in Project Management, Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveying services.

This position is a growth role in London office to develop the affordable Housing sector in the delivery of Project Management, Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveying services to new and existing clients.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Setting the strategy for optimizing the return from existing Frameworks and meeting obligations to the client (as bid) for Project Management, Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveying services.
  • Establishing and maintaining an effective approach to framework management including active promotion and marketing as well as relationship building within the buying community.
  • Leadership, oversight and management of the response to new enquiries and opportunities from initial receipt, through setting the strategy for the response and governance to submission of a compelling proposition.
  • Collaborating with partners, internal and external, to maximize the potential for new work to be secured.
  • Mentoring, coaching and supporting resources (technical and administrative) to develop their skills and strengthen the overall capability of the business.
  • Supporting the capture and recording of the team’s key business metrics including opportunities pipeline (Salesforce) and financial forecasting.

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree educated in Housing/Construction or a related discipline.
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong experience in a business development growth role with ideally construction / affordable housing
  • Excellent communication and client Facing skills
  • Relevant and appropriate technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrable networking capabilities and established relationships with key individuals in target client organisation(s).
  • Evidence of previous successful management of frameworks and bids leading to securing new opportunities.
