Assistant Underwriter – Salary up to £25,000.

Together, we'll be working towards providing a comprehensive service. This will include building a successful network of internal and external relationships; responding to a variety of enquiries and meeting high standards to ensure customer satisfaction. We also encourage our Assistant Underwriters to actively pursue opportunities to improve the efficiency of our customer service and administration processes to assist GCS in achieving its targets.
A bit about the job:
Supporting growth of the Financial Lines team across London and the Regions.
Identifying & driving opportunities for service and operational improvements.
Taking personal responsibility for development in line with business strategy.
Occasional requirement for travel to our London & Regional offices.
Aviva uses “smart-workingâ€, and the person in this role will be based in Worthing. This is a 12 month fixed term contract role.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Experience in building and encouraging positive internal and external relationships.
GCSE qualifications or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
Good level of negotiating, numerical and verbal reasoning skills
Good knowledge of IT including spreadsheets; databases and word processing.
Previous underwriting experience is not essential as full training will be provided. However, experience in Financial Services, Risk or similar would be advantageous.
