To contribute to the maximisation of International sales from Marketplaces through Wholesale and Consignment models.
Through the effective planning, selling, and trading of a global product range that delivers profitability for M&S as well as for our Marketplace partners.
- Key accountabilities and measures Liaise with the franchise partner managers and commercial managers to identify and track progress
- Manage the process of consolidating milestone and transformation project status reports and distribute to stakeholder groups
- Co-ordinate and produce governance documentation on time; status reports / risk, issue & action logs / presentations – including action follow-up with action owners
- Track progress against key milestones and managing key risks, issues & dependencies
- Maintain and monitor governance processes across milestones and transformation priorities, to ensure effective controls and visibility
- Ensure all areas of the programme adhere to the governance standards agreed to
- Ensure stakeholders are equipped with the right information at the right time to enable effective management and decision making affecting delivery of transformation and milestones
- To respond to ad-hoc demands related to governance and reporting activity and support senior management as business needs change
- Drive further change and innovation to improve efficiency, automation and cost effectiveness of all transformation priorities
- Actively support the tracking of trading and commercial KPIs as part of weekly, monthly and annual reporting
- Extend the breadth of management information made available and innovate in the way this information is presented and delivered
- Support with the annual Integrated Business Planning process including practical help with capturing data from franchise partner conversations as three year business plans are agreed
- Support the team when appropriate through workshops, partner facing or internally, stakeholder engagement and communication planning. Coach the wider team on specific skills required for project management and delivery
- To build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the wider business
- Act in an advisory capacity to initiatives, mission teams and business colleagues to assist in aligning the effective delivery of the milestones and transformation priorities
- Work with the finance team to ensure benefits are established, tracked, monitored, and challenged where appropriate.
To be successful in this role you will need to have the below key skills:
- Excellent communications skills
- Experience and or knowledge of a recognised project management qualification (Prince II / APM) and MSP would be useful
- Ability to work cross functionally to understand programmes and their impacts
- Knowledge and experience of delivering projects – specific project experience in transformation would be an advantage
- Excellent use of MS Office applications e.g. Excel, MS Project, including great PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge of and experience in the retail sector would be an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great presentation and persuasion skills
