It is an exciting time to join M&S as we refocus the strategy and plan to transform the business across Clothing & Home to turbocharge our online performance, with the primary focus being how we use data to drive sales and improve customer experience.

This role will support the Senior Media Manager and Assistant Paid Media Manager within the customer channels team to deliver a full funnel paid media strategy, focusing on customer behaviour and increasing awareness within our target customer group to drive sales by developing our presence across social platforms, YouTube & display.

Key accountabilities and measures

  • Working closely alongside the senior media manager and assistant paid media manager to deliver a display & paid social strategy that aligns and directly feeds into the broader business targets
  • Supporting the team’s other assistant paid media manager to deliver and report on channel performance
  • Ownership of all creative & copy management across the YouTube, display & paid social channels
  • Work closely with the senior media manager and assistant paid media manager on channel measurement to set up a robust test & learn strategy, with the aim of proving the value of these channels
  • Agency management of key partners including our social & display agency, Facebook, Google, TikTok and Pinterest, ensuring we are getting the service needed from all contacts
  • Support in coordinating strategic and creative responses for seasonal campaign planning and individual briefs, in close alignment with the other channels
  • Working directly with the organic social team and our creative agency to ensure alignment across the teams and improved efficiencies – guaranteeing content created is fit for purpose and market leading
  • Working with the paid media agency to run analysis of campaigns to improve future social marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Reporting channel progress and initiatives to senior marketing management

Key skills

  • Paid media experience, including social & display/YouTube
  • Experience using key platforms – Facebook, Pinterest and Google (DV360 & Google Ads)
  • Experience managing agencies preferable
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to draw actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships and manage key stakeholders
  • Ability to work to deadlines, manage multiple projects and react quickly to changing business priorities
  • An eye for detail, with creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas
  • The ability to work independently as well as with a team
