Job Description

Responsibilities :

  • Analyze market conditions identify current product trends, market pricing structures, maintain appropriate price list and liaise with customers in order to ensure customer requirements while obtaining the best benefit to the organization and expanding market share simultaneously.
  • Formulate business development strategies to set goals and action plan for next 2 year, 5 years.
  • New product innovation through concepts, technology developments.
  • Identify customer seasonal requirements and offer seasonal offerings to delight customers.
  • Identify new business locations, end-uses to widen the current product portfolio.
  • Collaboration with development hubs, research centers and Universities develop breakthrough innovations and products addressing to customer pinpoints.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of customer’s buying procedures and identify appropriate service levels (including sample submission, delivery, set standards) for each customer in order to ensure that product presentations are in line with customer requirements.
  • Analyze RM pricing trends, market pricing structures, negotiate prices with suppliers in order to quote the best price on-time which meets customers’ pricing requirements and maintain appropriate price list.
  • Review on an on-going basis, the product range that needs to be added to the portfolio and corresponding sampling requirements in order to identify any new business opportunities / developments required for the target market/new product verticals.
  • Collaboration with strategic supplier to develop exclusive products for Stretchline and work closely, follow up & guide all production teams in order to ensure a smooth transition from development to bulk.
  • Ensure that the team is effectively managed, resourced and trained and appropriate targets are allocated/achieved in order to meet agreed business objectives.

Requirements :

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Textile Engineering.
  • Post graduate degree will be an added advantage.
  • 5 years of relevant industrial experience in the textile industry.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Negotiation skills and relationship building.
