Job Description
Your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that the data and information booked in ledgers are accurate and are articulating & presenting the transparency of facts to the stakeholders.
- Developing and attending intra-company, IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) leases, and other month-end general ledger reconciliations.
- Extending technical advice on appropriate accounting treatments to finance support services.
- Ensuring shareholder returns are remitted via royalties and dividend payments in a timely manner.
- Coordinating and submitting working capital forecasts and actuals for creditors and debtors on month-ends.
- Supporting the governance of GFCF (Gross Fixed Capital Formation) controls over core finance processes and regularly reviewing and actioning upon the improvements suggested by the Financial Controller teams.
- Executing accounting data to the internal tax accountant as required for corporate income tax filings.
- Preparing statutory financial statements, segmental P&L, and related party transaction summaries.
- Liaising with Statutory and Internal Auditors on audit requirements and ensuring audits are closed in a timely manner.
Additional responsibilities
- Providing accounting technical support with the knowledge of global and local accounting standards.
- Providing agile support to finance functions specific to cost center, general ledger and order creations.
- Representing Unilever Sri Lanka as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) at global project executions.
- Regularly upskilling through FLEX and Flow programs.
Your key stakeholders include:
- Finance Managers and Controllers
- Finance Support Function Leads
- Reporting Operating Centre (OC), Central Support Team, Global Governing Team (GCAD) and IT Team.
- Statutory and Internal Control Auditors.
What do you need for this role?
Candidates should
- Be a graduate majored in Accounting or possess a relevant equivalent professional qualification.
- Additionally being fully or part-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Sri Lanka) will be an added advantage.
- Possess 3-4 years of experience in financial accounting specifically in handling statutory audits & statutory financial statements.
- Have sound knowledge in SAP Accounting and be familiar with Sri Lanka Financial
- Reporting Standards (SLFRS) and Sri Lanka Accounting Standards (LKAS).
- Be self-confident and assertive.
- Have excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work under pressure with cross-functional teams.
