Description of your role – You will be responsible to ensure relevant aspects of financial control are correctly adhered to. You will be ensuring financial reconciliations are carried out in a timely manner. You will be responsible for upkeep of accounts and for posts into the nominal ledger, purchase ledger.

What you’ll be doing:

The role involves but is not limited to:

• Providing support to the Finance Manager and coordination with wider business for yearly audits
• Maintaining the purchase ledgers
• Other ad-hoc duties
• Covering for Finance Manager on CBS reporting
• Setup of travel fees in the insight mid-office system and supporting the business with wider fee queries
• Supporting Finance Manager with quarterly VAT calculations on the Sage/Boss ledger and completing consolidated VAT return when required

Qualifications

• Studying towards/completed AAT
• Desire to further with accounting qualification

Key skills

• Leadership skills
• Good communication skills
• Good working knowledge of IT packages, in particular Excel
• Work to deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Able to maintain full audit trails of accounting records
• Issue management/solution
