The Bechtel AT&T Mobility project provides project management, site development, procurement, and construction services to the AT&T customer to build new cell sites, upgrade existing sites with new technologies, add bandwidth to existing sites and decommission old technologies. The project has markets located in various regions throughout the U.S.
Position Summary:
he Assistant Field Coordinator is responsible for construction management activities related to assigned cell sites self-performed by in-house craft or subcontractor crews. This position will be reporting to the Lead Field Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Provides Contractor field planning coordination and oversight in support of the AT&T Turfing Project Construction functions as required and directed by the Lead Field Coordinator. To include but not limited to: Compiles, verifies, and correlates technical data related to Site Acquisition, Engineering and/or Construction functions for the assigned cell sites.
- Supports the bid process for work assignment to General Contractors, Suppliers, Service Providers using project tools
- Manages the schedule and progress database used for status project execution reporting and monitoring progress of the work for the assigned cell sites. Completes in-field quality reviews to ensure construction is implemented per approved standards
- Ensures the ES&H requirements are always maintained, performs as site safety representative in oversight of General Contractors’ work, and provides coaching to field crew(s) as needed
- Coordinates communications and action requirements with General Contractors Suppliers Service Providers and Site Acquisition
- Supports the Construction process as required via assistance in the preparation of materials requisitions specifications and other related activities and documents
- Coordinates assigned work with other technical personnel as needed to support the construction team workload
- Coordinates with Tower Owners, Landlords, Utility Companies, and necessarily approving entity to schedule and complete walkdowns
- Provides direct assistance to the Lead Field Coordinator in a review of management control systems and status reports
- Reviews RF datasheets for determination of outside antenna work scope
- Perform cell site walk down with A/E and provide general constructability guidance relative to the production of Construction documents
- Assists Lead Field Coordinator in coordinating Market Specific Design Reviews through the various required organizations and facilitates sign off for approval and/or comments
- Administers assigned subcontracts and coordinates with the appropriate site management on activities affecting the contract administration operation
- Coordinates with the Contract Administration function and prepares all necessary reports and forms to assure subcontracts management such as Change Notices, Daily Reports etc.
- Provides input regarding the administrative implementation and control of market specific systems and workflow processes

Basic Qualifications:

- Basic understanding of how cell site works Basic understating of construction management Sound data automation skills and ability to utilize standard word and data processing programs

- All applicants must have a current and valid driver's license
- Level 1: Bachelor's Degree with less than 1 year of experience. Entry-level experience in telecommunication construction management
- Level 2: Bachelor's Degree with less than 1-2 years of experience related to Telecoms. Career-development experience in telecommunication construction management
