JOB DESCRIPTION
- Supporting the Senior Trading Manager and Buyer in the delivery of Category strategy to achieve market share, revenue, profit, and stock targets
- Full accountability for smaller suppliers and sub-categories, defining/implementing ranges and managing product lifecycles
- Supporting all aspects of a product category area – including range management, pricing strategy, promotional development and execution across stores and online
- Managing new product launches and forecasting stock purchases
- Assessing category performance and conducting market analysis
- Building and managing effective supplier relationships
- Developing and executing promotional plans across Stores and Online channels
- Ensuring all product administration from set up to launch and ongoing sales are maintained
- Ensuring product prices within range are correctly set up in systems for the right amounts, with right cost prices, and for right timeframes
- Setting up and implementing trading activity each week that ensures revenue and margin targets are delivered
- Taking part in Category Trading Reviews with Senior Buyer/Buyer & Head of Category on a weekly and monthly basis
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience of working for a multi-channel retailer in the Gaming or Consumer Electronics market in a Buying, Trading or Category team is desirable
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to build effective working relationships internally and externally
- Strong commercial acumen and looking to build a career with a global business
