Job Summary:
Assemblers perform tasks that are necessary to the production process. They aid in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products. Successful candidates with strong attention to detail and the ability to closely follow assembly instructions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assembly of components including plastic parts, ball screws, gears, and motors, including final assembly
Operate manual machines
Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
Check output to ensure highest quality
Maintain equipment in good condition
Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
Maintain a safe work environment by following all company protocols, regulations and procedures
All other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Some experience as an assembler preferred
Technical knowledge and ability to read assembly instructions and follow standard operation procedures
Ability in using tools and machines
Good understanding of quality control principles
Good communication skills
Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
Ability to work in a Non-A/C environment
Education and Experience:
At least one-year related experience preferred as an assembler or similar role in a manufacturing setting
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
While performing duties of the job, incumbent is required to stand for full shift; walk; sit; use hand to finger handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Non-A/C work area; the noise level can periodically be higher than normal, hearing protection may be required
