Responsibilities: 

• Implement the Automation strategy / Test strategy for the products and releases. Build a flexible and scalable automation solution to enable high regression coverage and faster execution.

• Being a single point of Authority for Test plans, Test strategies, Test designs, Test automation practices, and technical implementation, to ensure the delivery of high-quality releases whilst meeting Industry standards.

• Work closely with Technical Leadership to review the solution architecture and design to improve the overall quality and stability as well as the non-functional aspects of the products/releases.

• Perform reviews of test design, automation design, scripts, and execution best practices to ensure the efficiency/effectiveness of the solutions.

• Establish a CI/CD setup using automated tools i.e., Gitlab, Jenkins, Bamboo..etc. with other stakeholders I.e., DevOps teams to ensure efficient & High-Quality deliverables and work with development/operations/infrastructure teams for issue resolution/improvements

• Drive conceptualizing to implementation of innovative solutions improving quality engineering practices and efficiency.

• Evaluate and implement processes and tools to improve applications to have faster delivery with required quality

• Improve the Quality Engineering discipline by continuously identifying modern trends/technologies as they emerge and sharing the best practices

• Coach and mentor Technical Specialists, Leads, SDETs, and Quality engineers, encouraging growth and career progression of team members. 

Skills & Expertise: 

• A wizard in Technical frameworks able to recommend solutions using them for technical impediments.

• Deep knowledge of test automation, frameworks, and related technologies

• Firsthand experience in Software Engineering and Quality Engineering methodologies, principles & best practices

• Hands-on experience in Object Oriented Programming concepts through a widely adopted programming language (Java, C#...etc.)

• Solid understanding and ability to coach the team on Test Automation practices, tools & technologies.

• Hands-on work experience with multiple large-scale implementations

• Great competence with stakeholder management. 

Qualifications & Experience: 

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent qualification

• 10+ years' experience of overall Software Quality Engineering with 5+ years of hands-on experience in QE technical tools and technologies

• Experienced with working in an Agile team & good exposure to DevOps.

• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level

• Prefer any ISTQB Advanced Level certification.

• Any Industry Valid Technical Certification (E.g., Oracle Certified Associate in J2EE, AWS Certifications, etc.)
