Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to play a key role in delivering high quality business processes. The successful applicant will need to have a flexible attitude to work and see challenge and change as a positive.
What you’ll be doing:
- To ensure the efficient and timely processing of Accounts Receivable invoices in the Capita Shared Service Centre
- Liaise with the onsite contact manager to ensure the service delivered meets the clients needs and the requirements of the contract
- Deal with queries arising from either customers or retained Council staff in a prompt and informative manner
- Deal with customers both over the phone and email
What we’re looking for:
- 3 GCSE A*- C (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
- Experience of working in a team, preferably within a financial environment.
- Good listening skills
- Understanding of the importance of keeping good records.
- Ability to demonstrate confident and effective communication skills with both internal and external customers by telephone, email and letter.
- Be self-motivated, flexible whilst organised, to ensure deadlines are met the minimum of supervision.
- Knowledge and ability to use standard office IT systems (e.g. Excel and Word) for the input and retrieval of data).
- Tenacious but patient.
