What you’ll be doing:
responding to calls logged onto the support call management system and resolving issues in line with the appropriate SLA
managing the support queue to ensure support tickets are kept up to date with the latest resolution information
creating and modifying scripts that are associated with the relevant supported solutions
responding to and actioning change requests raised by the customer and Capita internal processes
participating in projects identified by Capita or the customer to deliver change and innovation within the Managed Service
communicating across Capita teams, suppliers and with the customer to ensure each are kept informed accurately and reliably
performing maintenance & administration tasks on supported systems to ensure that all operate efficiently and correctly
participating in the school move/amalgamation process as required for solutions supported
co-operating with software and hardware vendors, managing support issues with them and engaging in workshops
What we’re looking for:
Essential skills and experience
Experience with MS Server Operating systems to include Active Directory and Group Policies
Experience with MS Exchange Mail server to include Lync
Experience with Office 365 implementation, management and maintenance in a large tenancy environment (including email, One Drive and Teams)
Experience with task automation using PowerShell and batch files
Experience with networking devices and communication protocols
3rd Level qualification in Computing / IT (HND/C in IT, Computer Science/IT degree)
Experience with MS SharePoint
Desirable skills and experience
Experience with task automation using Visual Basic scripting
Experience with networking
Experience working within the Education Sector
Microsoft MCSE: Core Infrastructure or equivalent Qualification
