We are an exciting group within Bloomberg who work with cutting edge Fintech start-ups to bring their apps to life within the Bloomberg eco-system.

The Bloomberg App Portal offers external ISV partners and client proprietary desktop applications to be accessible via the Bloomberg Terminal, enabling our clients to evaluate and access solutions that significantly enhance their knowledge and usage.

Our clients seek to locate these third-party services via a single platform and Bloomberg App Portal aggregates these relevant third-party services into a unique offering, enabling ease of visibility, increased productivity and a unified experience between a third-party web application and the Bloomberg Terminal. An application that once resided on a browser is now delivered as a Bloomberg function.

What's the role?

As an Account Manager, you are the key to our success. You will be responsible for growing the relationship with our App Portal partners, both ISVs and clients. We are successful when our partners sell more applications to the end users. You will collaborate with your assigned partners on their sales strategy and help drive those strategies to fruition, work with internal stakeholders to drum up interest for the applications and support any App Portal operational needs for the partners in your coverage.

We'll trust you to:

  •  Be a high energy self-starter who can collaborate with ISVs on their sales strategy and drive them to completion 
  •  Build a strong and broad network within the company, especially sales groups, to drive adoption of applications by Bloomberg customers
  •  Engage with end users who have Bloomberg terminals via various marketing tools, especially social media channels 
  •  Think strategically and creatively to gather product and process insights from key internal and external stakeholders
  •  Collaborate internally to implement and execute value-added solutions
  •  Work autonomously to develop your own ideas and strategies for your accounts
  •  Understand the player types in the financial markets, the client needs and how applications on the App Portal could fill those needs
  •  Manage Partner relationships on a technical and business level

You’ll need to have:

  •  Strong understanding of financial markets including Equities, Fixed Income and derivatives
  •  A competent grasp of front office buy-side and sell-side workflow
  •  A solid understanding of how social media channels work and how to optimize content
  •  Excellent communication and presentation skills
  •  Ability to drive collaboration across a client's organization
