The API Integrations Specialist will provide ongoing support for the API integrations that unify our core cloud applications that empower and enable all aspects of our business as well as develop new integrations as we continue to grow and expand our business solutions. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to analyze and organize information, develop new capabilities, and continually improve processes. They will work closely with all internal teams to understand business needs and enjoy providing excellent support services. This position will be based at AES CE’s headquarters in/near Louisville, CO. A local candidate is preferred but not required. Travel is expected to be minimal.
Primary Responsibilities
Administer the API management solution (Workato) and manage all API integrations related to our core business systems (Quickbase, SAP, Box)
Monitor routine and critical API integrations and proactively identify problem trends
Troubleshoot API integration issues and document resolutions
Help resolve technical issues encountered by internal customers
Perform QA/functionality tests in a development environment, manage release strategy, and perform migration to the production environment
Concurrently work on multiple projects, and with different resolution teams and clients
Work with the Continuous Improvement team to create effective business requirements and develop new scalable integration solutions as required by the business
Researching new tools and solutions to meet our growing needs and assure we stay nimble and competitive
Participate in the creation of best practice documentation, process/workflow mapping, and user guides
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in third party systems integration (Workato preferred)
Experience in API protocols and programming (primarily XML, JSON, SQL)
Broad technical acumen including comfort with databases, and data structures (Quickbase and Workato experience preferred)
Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance, prioritize, and manage multiple projects of differing priorities and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to comfortably communicate with all levels of the organization. Create comprehensive and accurate documentation
Ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced environment and a strong sense of accountability in an environment committed to continuous improvement and agile development
