Responsibilities

Job responsibilities will encompass working across a team of high impact individuals who are designing and coding drivers, tools, firmware, Linux kernel, Android Framework and Android applications across various technologies on Surface Duo devices. The job is highly dynamic and involves working across various disciplines to successfully deliver the product with the Surface Duo experience and quality.

Qualifications

We are looking for an Software developer who has an experience in Android based product SW development. A Person in this role will work on developing, integrating the new display features, identify and solving the issues reported by internal and external customers and will make sure high quality display experience for the users. Role requires interacting with various cross functional teams to understand and ensure product definitions, requirements, and quality commitments.

Mandatory Requirement:

• Person should be strong knowledge of Android Display architecture, Window manager, Surface flinger, Linux Display Render Manager, Framebuffers
• Hands on experience in Hardware Composer HAL
• Strong debugging skills

Desirable

• Good knowledge of low-level display Hardware and bus protocols  MIPI, DSI bus, panels
• Good understanding of display concept related to color management and display pipeline
• Good understanding of low-level display drivers
