We are looking for a new leader to reinvigorate our Industry Analyst Relations function with creative ideas and programming to lead BMC’s efforts in enhancing our market position and brand image with the analyst community. This role reports to the Senior Director, Corporate Communications and will work closely with leadership across the product, IT, finance, and technology organizations to set the strategy for how we engage and work with the analyst and influencer community.
Leading the AR team, with agency support, our new Analyst Relations lead will oversee our contractual engagements with the leading analyst firms, set the strategy for global analyst relations, and develop new and innovative ways for BMC to influence and achieve more positive recognition from the analyst community. We need a leader who can help the company, and our executive team, think about analyst relations in new ways that position BMC as leading edge. And most of all, you’ll be a great fit with the existing team who work with immense integrity, collaborate seamlessly, and always think about what will benefit our customers and partners most.
Overview of the Job:
•Develop and grow Analyst Relations team (3 FTEs and agency support)
•Set strategic intent for IAR program for BMC
•Provide counsel and guidance to BMC senior leadership team on IAR strategy and engagement
•Support business unit leadership with inventive programming that moves the needle on demonstrating BMC portfolio value and relevance
•Counsel and support office of the chief technology officer in BMC Innovation Labs initiatives, in partnership with the Global Innovation Marketing Manager
•Partner with Corporate Marketing, Demand Marketing, and Solutions Marketing leadership to develop and execute integrated programming that influences analyst perceptions and also highlights AR successes
•Lead AR programming to educate and engage employees and partners
•Partner with key functions to provide market and industry input from analysts – “connect the dots†– to support company initiatives
•Redefine how BMC shows up with the analyst and industry influencer community
The Skill Set:
•Bachelor’s Degree or 15+ years of relevant experience
•Previous IAR leadership in the enterprise software space with established analyst relationships and “go-to†influencer network
•Creative and organized with an appreciation for data and analytics to track KPIs for the functionÂ
•Well-rounded experience across a variety of corporate functions with strong business acumenÂ
•Experience in developing and delivering integrated programming to drive AR importanceÂ
•Expertise in development and management of IAR programs that move the needle for major brands
•Strong administrative and program management skills to ensure that plans are socialized, adhered to, and measured against
•Natural ability to lead and influence with executive presence that elicits respect and admiration
•Comfort with the “spotlight†and being the face of IAR at BMC
•Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple projects at a time, and deliver quality work under pressureÂ
•High level of ownership and committed to achieving measurable resultsÂ
•Exceptional communications skills both written and verbalÂ
•Be flexible, adapt to change quickly, and be a positive change agent for othersÂ
