Core Venturing Responsibilities
- Accelerate innovation strategy and enable growth delivery through external partnerships
- Scout, screen, conduct due diligence with prospective start-up partners
- Assist corporate and regional teams to filter and prioritize new investment opportunities
- Prepare valuations for current and pipeline opportunities including DCF and public / private comparables and transaction analysis
- Prepare pitch decks to the Global Investment Committee for new and follow-on investments based on company evaluation, market analysis, technical findings and financial evaluation
- Assist with deal structuring and term sheet evaluation while modeling economic impact
- Monitor current investments, foster relationships and track key metrics, company performance and overall portfolio returns
Core Innovation Finance Responsibilities:
- Support the internal innovation project review and approval processes as a financial and business subject matter expert.
- Provide Global Innovation team with analysis, modeling, and business case evaluations for new product introductions, new process technologies, etc.
- Assist with financial and business case evaluation training sessions across the globe.
- Assist project teams to translate complex and ambiguous technical ideas into actionable business cases.
- Understand and build partnerships with key contacts across various groups: Corp. Finance, Corp. Accounting, Regional Finance, Global Marketing and Growth Platform Leaders.
- Assist in analyzing Global R&D budget and forecasting.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-3 years of work experience in venture capital, investment banking, management consulting or equivalent corporate development / finance experience
- Strategic mindset with experience in financial modeling, strategy assessment and project management (i.e., capital projects, budgeting/forecasting, organic growth projects, DCF analysis). Advanced accounting and financial modeling skills is a plus
- Excellent quantitative skill set and comfort with financial statements
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. SAP & BPC/BW knowledge is desirable.
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
- Experience in Food & Beverage and/or Consumer Products is a plus
- The team works in a Hybrid model, spending 2-3 days in office on average. This role will not have a fully remote option
- Qualified candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the US. The company does not plan to provide work visa sponsorship for this role
