Description

ABM’s Strategy & Innovation team plays a critical role in shaping and enabling both the short- and long-term strategy for the organization. They work hand-in-hand with corporate, business unit, and functional leadership to solve challenges and inform decision-making in the most critical, high-impact areas of the business.

In this role, you will help establish and implement ABM’s vision and innovation priorities by contributing to project execution, problem framing and analysis, and formulation of recommendations.

We are looking for a driven, analytical team member who is excited to contribute to solutions across the enterprise. You will build a deep understanding of both the business and industry, as well as be presented the unique opportunity to collaborate with senior leaders.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support team and cross-functional partners on executing high-impact and high-priority initiatives for ABM
  • Contribute to effective structuring of projects, inclusive of framing the problem, designing the work plan, and driving towards a recommendation or solution
  • Support all lifecycle stages for a project from ideation through execution
  • Engage, gather input from, and build relationships with a variety of functional and operational partners to achieve goals and desired outcomes
  • Perform research, as well as qualitative and quantitative analysis, to inform business decisions and to identify key trends affecting the business
  • Provide thought partnership to business partners, project leads, and senior leadership to help solve business challenges   
  • Build project deliverables in partnership with project leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Communicate and synthesize analysis or solutions in an effective manner for a wide range of internal and external audiences
  • Assist in preparation of communications and presentations for senior leadership and executives, inclusive of outlining recommendations on strategic decisions
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and project management skills to help drive flawless execution of projects
  • Maintain dialogue with senior leadership around project execution and strategy
  • Hone problem solving, analysis, and communications skills with active coaching
  • Assist with responding to time-sensitive requests from SVP-Strategy & Innovation as well as cross-functional / business unit partners

Minimum Requirements

Education, Required Skills & Competencies

  • Bachler’s Degree in areas with analytical bias
  • 1+ years of strategy or consulting experience either internally or with a top-tier management consulting firm
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Strategic, highly analytical thinker with sound business judgment and proven thought leadership
  • Self-starter who will work independently to drive projects forward within set objectives
  • Diverse problem-solving experience with the ability to contribute to solution development across a variety of functional areas
  • Proven ability to work on cross-functional teams in order to deliver business outcomes
  • Ability to flex between big picture thinking and sharp attention to detail
  • Well-tuned emotional intelligence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor for various functional areas and levels of management
  • Operates with a sense of urgency and transparency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Passion for contributing to large strategic initiatives
