This role will be part of a bigger team called Data Governance & Data Operations (DG&DO), which is a vibrant & highly motivated group that collaborates across different data domains working together towards building governance processes and tools that make our data better while also supporting the business in managing the master data across Finance, HR, Marketing, Vendor, Customer and Supply Chain Domains.

Today, we’re looking for a Analyst, Business Analytics. You will report to the Director, Data Governance Strategic Initiatives, who leads a diverse team of Master Data Analyst Managers, Strategic Initiative Leads and Product Owners. Analyst, Business Analytics role will provide adhoc master data analysis to both internal and external stakeholders of the Global Data Governance & Operations team. In close collaboration with other members of the team or as part of a project team, this role will assist in the test and launch of new processes, data models, and other master data management activities across all domains.

What You’ll Do for Us

Provide analytical support to internal DG&DO domain teams and external stakeholders that require master and reference data support and knowledge 

Use your knowledge of how core master and reference data is structured and stored in book of record systems to support the Data Governance Team

Collaborate with other team members to interpret business requirements and translates into MDM solutions 

Acquire and then provide Subject Matter Expertise knowledge of master data system table structures, interfaces, source system platforms, governance/maintenance processes, and technologies 

Support creating & maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), standards, and other artifacts to assure ongoing applicability of agile and contemporary master data solutions

Work with DG&DO team to understand business data and related processes

Translate business requirements to technical requirements to analyze/design/build BI and data solutions 

Qualification & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline

Experience in SQL and Alteryx to write optimized queries across large volumes of data, database design, data warehouse design, query performance tuning and writing stored procedures

Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure analysis services, and Power BI dashboard experience

Hands-on development mentality, with a willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.

Ability to recognize business needs, limitations with existing products/platforms to meet those needs and providing creative solutions to advance data governance/catalog maturity.

Analytical skills, experience gathering business requirements, analyzing, defining, and documenting business processes and data flows.

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work in teams across a diverse/multiple stakeholder environment

Great teammate with ability to work cross-functionally in resolving complex issues  

Following experience is a plus

Understanding and experience of data architecture, including data warehousing, data lakes, data mesh, and graph/semantic modeling

Understanding of data mining, efficient in navigating complex DB repositories

Understanding of designing process integration or automation, including providing data management guidance or access to catalog from within data producing and consumption applications (an eye toward automation opportunities),

Understanding of networking and security solutions, both hardware and SaaS/software

Experience in working in Agile teams, and working independently with Business stakeholders providing solutions and regular updates
