Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors – called delivery partners – to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages. Amazon Flex is powered by a mobile app that works in concert with our advanced logistics systems that allows delivery partners to on board, schedule delivery times, guide them through their deliveries with in-app mapping and navigation, and more. The approach and technology are nothing short of disruptive, and promise to challenge traditional approaches, and change the way the industry operates.

Amazon Flex is continuing to build a high paced and lean European team to implement and expand Flex capabilities across key segments of Amazon Logistics’ European business. Amazon is now looking to hire an experienced, passionate, dynamic, analytical, innovative, hands-on, and (most importantly) customer-obsessed Field Operations Program Manager.

We are seeking a Program Manager in the United Kingdom to help establish Amazon Flex as the preferred provider in this specific space in order to build our network of Delivery Partners to drive product utilization and service optimization within the Amazon Logistics world. Internally, this leader will work directly with the last-mile Delivery Stations and with functions that cut across the organization, including technology, transportation, operations and customer service, to drive a great customer experience for our program.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, passionate, highly analytical and detail-oriented, possess superior interpersonal and communication skills, and be comfortable working independently to drive growth and change in a fast-paced environment. An extreme bias for action is an absolute must, and candidates must demonstrate a superior track record of delivering results.


Responsibilities include:


· Continuously look for improvements to standardize and drive at scale in all AMZL and GSF stations in your region· Lead and coordinate large, complicated projects with multiple stakeholders including Product, Technology, Marketing, Shipping & Delivery Services, Legal, PR and Operations

· Develop strong working relationships with AMZL and GSF station management in order to manage/audit service quality, process improvement and collaborate · Ability to scope out business and functional requirements for the Amazon tech teams who create and enhance the software systems and tools we use and launch these products Ability to deliver against strategy with Bias for Action whilst balancing Dive Deep with Think Big.

· Work with AMZL/GSF and AmFlex Global Operations teams to develop and share best practices
· Act as the primary liaison between any stations Amazon Flex delivers from in your region and Amazon Flex UK BOPS and leadership

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree required
· Proven background and prior experience in a program management or operational role within a parcels, logistics, last mile delivery, gig economy, or supply chain environment, with a strong bias to towards technology
· Relevant work experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills to integrate data into operational planning.
· Demonstrable track record of success
· Proven experience in executing technology solutions in a fast paced, high growth, operational business environment
· Experience managing, negotiating, and communicating with internal/external business partners
· Excellent technical comprehension, and both verbal and written communication skills
· Highly organized, ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with little to no guidance and tight deadlines
· Ability to travel (up to 60%) and have flexible working schedule
· Current driver’s license and means to travel frequently between delivery stations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Preferred bachelors in Engineering, Operations or related field.
