Your Role in Our Growth
This Associate Account Manager role sits within one of the fastest growing areas of Amazon. We are looking for someone who wants to be at the forefront of the payments revolution as we build own Fintech start-up here at Amazon. You will work with key strategic merchants and recognisable global brands to acquire new Amazon Pay customers and drive retention of Amazon Pay partners. Your success with these key retailers, across a variety of categories, will help us achieve our ambition of being the preferred method of payment for our customers. The scope of the role will entail a challenging development target that encompasses:
· Grow existing accounts by upselling/ cross selling additional Amazon Pay products and services.
· Using your consultative sales style you will devise and launch strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth.
· Understand the wider business drivers of Amazon Pay to drive awareness/adoption in existing verticals/market segments.
· Improve internal business processes, tools, structures, etc to drive growth/continuous improvement.

Operating in a fast-moving and challenging environment, Amazon’s high performance bar requires that you are self-motivated and target driven, skilled in phone based sales/ account management, able to work autonomously and take full control and responsibility for achieving targets.

Who We Are Looking For
A Leader:
· Support internal teams to introduce new product features to merchants.
· Build and maintain a strong commercial relationship with key merchants.

Planning/Analysis/Execution:
· Develop a deep understanding of the current functionality and value proposition of Amazon Pay to grow your portfolio.
· Manage contract re-negotiations and merchant incentives.
· Identify and optimize marketing engagements with merchants to drive new revenue opportunities.
· Serve as the primary relationship liaison for business, technical and high priority customer service escalations.
· Join project teams and support efforts to define new market opportunities, new business strategies and deep dive analyses.

Communication & Reporting:
· Provide content for internal business communications highlighting various initiatives, successes, and platform improvement opportunities through voice of the merchant.
· Prioritise the needs of merchants in balance with internal priorities.
· Be accountable for providing information on Salesforce.com and other reporting systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


· Experience in one/more of: account management, sales, ecommerce, payments.
· Undergraduate degree
· Analytical approach to problem solving and a track record of driving results through continuous improvement
· Demonstrable negotiation skills and influencing abilities
· Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Independence and flexibility in dealing with multiple complex issues
· Experience executing on programs and projects with minimal resources
· Composed, poised and professional demeanour in all situations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·Experience or understanding of the Payments industry.
