What You Need To Know
The Director of Sales and Operations Planning plays a critical role in the ALD team’s success. Synchronizing the commercial and operations forecast between SGWS and Pernod Ricard with clarity on assumptions. The Director of Sales and Operations Planning works directly with our Channel Directors managing demand and aligning on inventory needs.
Overview
This position will manage all aspects of commercial operations to enhance performance, supplier performance, and divisional/regional analytics. This role will drive commercial operations strategy and provide oversight for supplier planning, supplier marketing/programming, commercial finance, pricing, S&OP, and Business Intelligence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Implements Commercial Operations Strategy to enhance overall market performance, supplier performance, analytics capabilities, and gross profit attainment goals
- Maximize the workforce resources within the functional scope to optimize productivity and expansion of all personnel performing jobs related to pricing, marketing, trade development, analytics, and commercial supply chain to increase the profits of the corporation and increase total market share in the business
- Responsible for the oversight and development of supplier planning, programming, and activations to ensure that brand strategies and standards are achieved. Ensure alignment with supplier(s) to understand their brands, sales goals/projections, and support in securing additional market share
- Provides compliance administration and consistent strategy for Trade Development, Supplier Marketing activities and Commercial Finance and Pricing functions to ensure fund management and pricing guidance are in place
- Responsible for the management and oversight of all functions related to forecasting and pricing. Analyze and review on an on-going basis opportunities/threats, strengths/weaknesses affecting growth of company business
- Oversee full-cycle S&OP process and inventory management
- Drive Commercial Analytics including day-to-day BI analysis for supplier reporting and scorecards
- Responsible for the oversight and development of supplier programming and activations to ensure that brand strategies and standards are achieved. Ensure alignment with supplier(s) to understand their brands, sales goals/projections, and support in securing additional market share
- Coordinate the implementation of sales effectiveness initiatives and standard KPI s for supplier reporting and scorecards, including quarterly business reviews frameworks; present supplier reports for market analysis, QBRs, RFPs, and other related market strategy planning
- Coach, direct, counsel team on overall performance; define expectations and monitor progress
- Attract, retain and motivate team to maintain an engaging work environment and to ensure sound policies and procedures adhered to
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Seven years of relevant experience
- Able to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed

- Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
- Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
- Critical nature of this job may require extended hours, overtime and weekends
