Premier Work Support are excited to be recruiting for a Air Freights & Reds Co-ordinator for our prestigious client based in London Heathrow.
Our client is a recognised player in the freight forwarding and transportation industry who also specialises in the supply chain and logistics solutions. With over 70 years of history, our clients has established best practice standards in ground transportation, air and ocean shipments, customs clearance and supply chain management.
We are looking for an Air Freights & Reds Co-ordinator to be part of the day logistics team based at the airport office. You will assist in areas of customs, directing and supporting multiple parties to ensure timely clearance of goods.
Duties and Responsibilities:-
* Ensure all air import/export jobs are completed correctly and in a timely manner
* Ensure all customs declaration tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner
* Report immediately to the line manager any amendments to customs declarations
* Run spot checks on customs entry 6 every other week ad-hoc and hand over to line manager once completed weekly
* Ensure the operational system is always used and correctly
* Assist other department as and when required by the company
* Provide quotation to the sales team / clients and network within 2 hours of receipt and report to Line manager
* Ensure one format for quotations and a recording system is in place for all quotes for Air
* Liaise with HMRC and maintenance of customs procedures
* Ensure all reports are completed as per provided deadline
* Ensure the SOP's are followed completely
* Always maintain high standards of personal quality, Health & Safety and professionalism and actively promote all company policies and procedures
* Always represent the company in the best possible light
* Handle any mode of transport if required to do so and instructed by the line manager
* Ensure that all invoicing/job costing is done within 48 hours of departure or arrival of the goods, unless otherwise agreed with the line manager, weekly report as agreed
* Look and propose new efficiencies in customer work flow
You will need to have at least two experience of exports/imports and customs compliance and regulations have knowledge of customs requirements and formalities with particular focus on UK and EU imports, experience in road transport, logistics or haulage, HMRC amendment an reclaim experience, be proficient with Microsoft packages.
This is a full time permanent role working, Monday - Friday 08.30 - 17.30
