Job Description

Administrative Assistant - One Safety

This position requires a high level of independence, initiative, ownership with good decision making and priority setting.  Understands the importance of maintaining confidential information that has a significant impact on business results, project work and processes.  Administrative support for several senior managers and technologists and research groups that includes calendar management, budget (internal/external), travel budgets, initiating from beginning to end external contracts for consulting, confidential disclosures, research and service agreements.  This person needs to be have strong priority setting abilities, attention to details while handling multiple competing priorities.  High organizational abilities is a must with limited supervision and direction.  Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex information pertinent to area of responsibility.  A strong demonstration of solving problems independently is needed in this position along with being a team player that positively impacts and contributes to the culture of the Global Product Stewardship environment.  Strong computer and administrative IT tools with ability to learn the processes within the company to be able to do vendor setups and initiate payment processes.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS or equivalent degree. Prior experience as an administrative assistant a plus. Must have strong foundational administrative skills and must be knowledgeable and/or capable of rapidly training on all key processes and P&G systems required to support the list of responsibilities listed above.  Must be comfortable with learning and mastering new processes and systems.
  • Strong priority setting, handling multiple competing priorities, and ability to organize work with limited supervision and direction.  Must be an individual who enjoys a dynamic working environment who is energized by such a setting and thrives on handling multiple priorities and tasks, able to adapt to shifting work requirements as needed. Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently or to seek input from manager or department members.
  • Must possess and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and be capable of operating inclusively and effectively in a diverse environment across levels, cultures, regions/geographies, backgrounds, etc.  Must have an effective collaborative approach with other members of the department and work well with others. Must be familiar with computer and modern IT tools
  • Knowledge or experience of finance and budget systems and budget tracking or willingness to learn the process.
