Performs multiple departmental and/or location administrative duties including typing, filing, answering phones, scheduling meetings, compiling automated reports and spreadsheets.



Job Responsibilities


  • Provides administrative support to management team, designated departments, and/or functional areas.  Duties include but are not limited to preparing, drafting, composing or editing incoming/outgoing correspondence, maintaining or preparing reports, taking meeting minutes and handling other documents or files as requested.
  • Maintains reports, documents, spreadsheets and/or PowerPoint presentations; assists in the preparation and control of records, statistics, and reports regarding operations, personnel changes, etc.
  • Administers programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the department(s) served; organizes and manages multiple projects simultaneously.  Establishes, maintains, manages and monitors hard copy and/or electronic files (e.g. reports, forms, work orders, ECNs, quarterly updates, etc.)
  • Responds to internal customer questions and requests; may serve as administrative liaison regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, events/lunches, facilities, and operations.  Coordinates conference room schedules.
  • Provides HR support for pre-employment processes, new hire paperwork and orientation, employee events, etc., as requested.
  • Maintains records/files for safety training, work comp (first report of injury), and other clerical support functions as requested.  Reviews and administers time and attendance for hourly employees.

  • Ability to independently organize work, balance multiple priorities, and manage a variety of projects in a fast-paced, flexible work environment with strong attention to detail
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills to deal effectively with a variety of people including management team as well as diverse groups of people internal and external to the organization
  • Solid problem solving skills, sound reasoning, independent judgment and initiative to accomplish tasks with minimal direction and to solve issues/accomplish tasks independently
  • Good organizational, time management and efficiency skills
  • Solid computer skills with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other software (Google) or applications associated with assigned work. Ability to learn and efficiently use MRP system (Syteline).
  • Fundamental knowledge of business office functions


Education


High School diploma
General Education Degree


Experience Requirements


  • Minimum of one year of experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
