This position will provide external and internal actuarial consulting within the regulated markets (Medicare, Medicaid, and EGWP) and PBM Healthplan space.  This role will matrix with external leadership at various Evernorth clients and with trend, formulary, sales & account management, and supply teams internally.

The Essential Functions of the role include:

Product Support

• Actuarial assumptions and analysis for new and existing product pricing, benefit recommendations for clients

• PDP plan bid review

• Premium sensitivity and actuarial equivalence modeling

• Audit support

Formulary Support

• Risk profile analytics

• Tier composition (IFB, Medicare)

• Advanced, customized analytics around pipeline and OOPC

Client Financial Support

• Risk Adjustment/ Subsidy impacts

• TCC (inclusive of medical + pharmacy) impact analysis

• Advanced trend analytics

• Federal guidance implications (needed for EGWP as well)

Internal Financial Support

• MLR analytics

• Market Landscape analytics

• Member mix profitability analytics

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance or other quantitative field strongly preferred

• 5-8+ years of relevant financial/actuarial experience 

• ASA or FSA preferred

• Regulated Markets experience (Medicare, Medicaid, Exchange)

• PBM / Managed Care / Healthcare / Pharmaceutical experience preferred 

• Consulting Experience strongly preferred

• Coding skills in either SQL, R, SAS, or Python strongly preferred

• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills

• Excellent PC skills

• Strong written/verbal communication skills 

• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills 

• Self-starter; able to work on multiple projects simultaneously 

• This role is Flex/WFH which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite

• This role requires 15% of travel. You will need to be fully vaccinated in order to travel & meet the requirements for this position.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $116,700 - $194,500, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
