Description:
Performs financial and actuarial analyses for Medicare Advantage business, including, but not limited to: medical expense analyses and projections, financial forecasts, regulatory (CMS) filings, financial modeling/analysis, ad hoc financial analyses/advice as needed, and communicate updates/results to management and associates.
Responsibilities:
Primary focus areas are Medicare and CMS bid corporate support, including developing and reviewing corporate template development and develop/update supporting forecasting and analyses tools. Other responsibilities include:
Applying analytical methods through the use of mathematical and statistical models in financial analyses, etc.
Completing ad hoc assessments and projects for corporate-wide or market-specific initiatives.
Communicating results of analyses to more senior team members.
Actively participates in team and other internal meetings and may present on specific topics.
Qualifications:
BS in Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or other related field
Minimum 2-4 years of financial and/or actuarial experience
Strong mathematical, financial, statistical and technical skills.
Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong technical skills in Excel
Strong communication and presentation skills; written/verbal proficiency
Ability to identify problem areas and take initiative to implement solutions.
Healthcare/ Medicare experience preferred
Data Analytics experience preferred
This role is Flex/WFH which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.
This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
