The Actuarial / Business Analytics Lead Analyst will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and manipulating datasets to support calculation and validation work for Pharmacy and Medical rebate sharing with Cigna's clients. Diverse knowledge of data analysis, various Cigna data platforms, and ability to navigate between different data sets is required. The Actuarial / Business Analytics Lead Analyst will own monthly and quarterly rebate sharing calculations and validation processes and help with related clients audits.
Responsibilities:
Pharmacy and Medical Rebate Sharing Analytics and Audit
Oversee administration of the Pharmacy and Medical rebate sharing terms for Cigna's clients, based on their ASO contracts with Cigna and rebates billed by ESI.
Work with Underwriting, Sales Effectiveness, Contracting Unit, Accounting and Finance on establishing and maintaining an internal audit process around the key rebate sharing terms.
Maintain a Looker database, currently reflecting the key sharing terms.
Support external rebate sharing client audits with data and analysis.
Develop a predictive-analysis model to identify and address disconnects in the client sharing terms.
Own various reports related to rebate sharing and support reporting requests from Sales, Underwriting and Finance.
Connect new program design decisions and analytics with rebate sharing (e.g., Patient Assurance Program, Manufacturer Copay Assistance Program).
Business Partnerships
Work with Pharmacy Economics, Accounting, and IT teams, as well as the extended Cigna/ESI Pharmacy management team (Pricing, Sales, Finance, Rebate and Network Contracting and Product) to drive consensus and action.
Be a Rebate financial term expert. Understand the nuances of Rebates in order to provide team members with data support and analysis. Proactively investigate opportunities to improve rebate performance.
Serve as a querying/technical expert and train others on the team/matrix partners in SQL querying and Excel.
Support a team environment that emphasizes learning, sharing, and continual improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Information Management, Mathematics or related field strongly preferred
3+ years of actuarial, business analytics, data analytics or related experience strongly preferred
Experience with technical skills in data extraction with tools such as SQL, SAS EG, TOAD and Hue strongly preferred
Experience with data analysis, data management, and/or pharmacy is preferred
Experience working with large amounts of data
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
This role is Flex/WFH which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.
For this position in Colorado, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $86,000 - $143,300, depending on relevant factors, including experience.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
