Amazon Shipping is looking to hire an experienced leader to join the Amazon Shipping Customer Programs Team, responsible for leading the Program Management team and owning product development, innovation and expansion of our business.
This leader will be responsible to own the Acquisition & On-boarding facing program that ensures shippers are able to quickly learn about our offering and that they have the necessary product, tech, and business support to send shipments through our network. The Senior Program owner is responsible for building mechanisms that audit our overall customer experience and effort required for them to be able to launch with us. This spans across ensuring that we are able to effectively share pricing, approve credit checks and have the right mechanisms in place to have the correct technical and operational set up for a shipper at the touch of one button. This role is responsible for working across Commercial teams, Operations, and SWA WW Product to ensure a shipper is able to have a seamless on-boarding journey across every touchpoint ahead of their launch. This role is responsible for the overall performance of this program tracking weekly/monthly metrics that find the careful balance between requesting customer inputs to better optimise a shippers future contribution to the business’ profitability and reducing churn to launch a shipper fast.
You will have a true hands-on approach, strong program leadership skills and drive a high caliber team toward generating creative solutions to industry level strategic problems. As this position involves regular interaction with senior leadership (VP+) in ATS/AMZL/Product/Tech, you need to be comfortable communicating robustly at that level whilst also working directly with various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization across the Amazon business.
Key Job Responsibilities
· Owning strategic planning and delivery for all Amazon Shipping Program activities across acquisition and on-boarding WW.
· You will work across multiple Amazon business units to interface with ATS, AMZL, Product and Tech to influence/prioritize respective backlogs to ensure Amazon Shipping requirements are delivered.
· Managing several competing priorities, you will ensure critical programs remain visible to all stakeholders whilst maintaining a delivery plan for less urgent matters.
· You will dive deep where required and not be afraid to learn about each stakeholder’s contribution and challenges, whilst maintaining a think big perspective at all times.
· You’ll own QBR/MBR/WBR communications for your business and write and present business cases using information acquired from various stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- Proven experience in Program Management in business development, supply chain, transportation, or logistics
- Experience working across multiple cross functional teams to deliver, measure and impact several highly visible products/programs.
- Experience of developing relationships and influencing across senior leadership groups in matrix management environments.
- Background of owning strategic planning, taking business level objectives and translating to delivery plans.
- Experience of change management/business launch/growth environments

Preferred qualifications
- Significant experience in manufacturing, transportation, customer service and/or distribution environments
- Experience of senior leadership in product/operations
- Expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
