There's an exciting opportunity available with Robert Half for an experienced Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional to join a growing organization in the Construction/Contractor industry. Responsibilities of this position include: enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a short-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Denver, Colorado area.

What you get to do every day

- Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. written correspondence, phone contact, skip-tracing, and making arrangements for payment

- Settle bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a variety of ledgers

- Confirm documents and codes

- Carry out an assortment of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

- Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

- Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans

- Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

Requirements

- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- 1+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

- Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

- Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred

- Current and relevant ERP system experience

- Data entry experience required

- Strong familiarity with Computer Data Entry

- Billing experience desired
