Job Description

The Parking Accounting team at the ABM Shared Service Center is looking for a diligent and self-motivated individual who is interested in a career growth opportunity. This person will be given an opportunity to work as a business partner with the FP&A and operation teams within a shared service environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises Staff and Senior Accountants
• Responsible for mentoring, training staff on identified issues that need to be addressed as part of process improvement to facilitate and encourage employee’s career growth
• Responsible for managing, interviewing and contributing to performance reviews for Direct Reports.
• Responsible for the accuracy of the Financial Statements for their assigned group.
• Ensures timely completion of month-end and daily tasks for assigned group
• Reviews and Approves Monthly Journal Entries and run reports for team during close
• Reviews and Approves General Ledger Account Reconciliations.
• Address and follow up on reconciling items to ensure completion in a timely manner
• Demonstrate knowledge and application of GAAP and company Policies to situations to arrive at the right answer.
• Assist with Quarter and Year End Audits
• Works well under pressure in a high volume and fast paced environment.
• Ensures compliance with Internal Controls and establishes Controls and Procedures.
• Ability to Communicate and Collaborate with Operations, FP&A Partners and other Internal Customers.
• Job duties or responsibilities may be modified as needed to reflect changing priorities and/or work conditions with ABM.

Minimum Requirements

• 4 year college degree in Accounting is required
• Shared Service experience preferred 
• Minimum of 4 - 7 years public accounting or industry accounting experience required
• CPA preferred
• Supervisory and management experience highly preferred 
• Knowledge of JDE, Oracle, or Insight Accounting software highly preferred
• Must be proficient in MS Excel and Word
• Must be detail oriented
