The Coca-Credit Union was established in 1965 and currently services 165,000+ members. The Credit Union serves customers on multiple products, such as mortgage and investments The accountant for this role will serve as a lead and is primarily responsible for ensuring accounting team balances general ledger and subsidiary accounts, and reconciliation and cash management of corporate bank accounts.
What You'll Do for Us
Manage the accounting for Mortgage and Investment Portfolios
Manage the accounting for Purchased Portfolio
Determine proper accounting treatment to comply with GAAP
Determine General Ledger account classification for various types of financial transactions
Analyze financial statements for variances.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Two to five years of accounting experience, preferable in banking
Determine proper accounting treatment to comply with GAAP. Determine General Ledger account classification for various types of financial transactions
Ability to set up GL accounts and accounting procedures, write work instructions and train other accountants
Ability to analyze variances and communicate cause to management.
