Job Description
Role purpose:
- A sales-focused role within Medium Business Account Management, this role will primarily be desk-based, though limited occasional travel to visit your customers may also be required.
- Your role will be to actively engage with each of your customers within a specific base of identified customers to build solid relationships in order that you can identify current and future sales opportunities from the full portfolio of VirginMediaO2 products.
- You will be required to increase and maximise revenue streams via upselling and cross-sell of the complete VMO2 portfolio of products and services into your identified customer base. These include but are not restricted to Mobile, DIA, Microsoft O365, Cloud Solutions, hardware and various other connectivity and digital solutions.
- You will be required to fully understand your customer’s needs and their plans for growth or business transformation, to offer them the best solution to suit their requirements.
- The role purpose also includes the resign and retention of the identified customer base whilst maximising customer satisfaction and the VMO2 customer experience
Key responsibilities & accountabilities
- Manage and maintain an identified customer base specific to you and achieve year on year revenue growth. Your base should be kept in contract to minimise customer churn and revenue loss. You will retain, resign, cross-sell and upsell to achieve all sales targets whilst providing a positively memorable customer experience
- Deliver results - this includes target achievement, developing and implementing action plans for delivering results, pipeline growth and management, forecasting, logging/recording of customer interactions on salesforce/CRM, understanding and plans for correcting or enhancing your personal performance statistics
- Self-sufficiently sell the full VirginMediaO2 products portfolio into your customer account base, with a clear growth strategy for each customer. This should be done both independently and with support from the Specialist Pre-Sales Team for the more complex sales when required but with a consistent curiosity to develop your own skills across our complete portfolio
- Activity – A fully proactive contact strategy across all customers within your identified customer base to ensure you understand their key 12/24-month strategies to position yourself a Trusted Advisor for their telecommunications and digital requirements. Achievement of all activity KPIs – outbound calls, account coverage etc as laid out within the KPI requirements for the role
- The retention and resignation of your customer base to maintain a growing base revenue and maintain churn within required parameters
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and precise customer contacts, activity, pipeline, and opportunity information within the Salesforce CRM
Essential skills:
- B2B sales experience in an environment that requires delivery of multiple sales KPI’s
- Experience in "solution selling" or complex sales
- Experience engaging with C Suite decision-makers
- Strong communication skills – orally and written
- Driven and self-motivated with a desire to be the best
- Able to keep up to date with changes in products, services and competencies through self-learning and self-development – a curious learner who takes personal responsibility for their development in product & service knowledge as well as their own skills
Desirable skills:
- An understanding of the competitive landscape for VMO2
- Telecommunication background
