Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Pitch, clear and verify UGC video content
• Assist in gathering elements for stories and videos (i.e. photos, footage, music)
• Report, write and turn around lifestyle articles and videos with speed and accuracy
• Assist with coverage of news events or tentpole (for example, helping with live blog coverage for Oscars 2023 or the death of Queen Elizabeth II) 
• Collaborate with GMA broadcast producers and teams on pieces and franchises such as GMA Book Club
• Curate and program the GMA newsletter as needed
• Attend local field shoots as needed

• Interest in news, lifestyle and entertainment content for a mobile-first audience
• Willing to learn the various skills needed to craft both video and text content 

  

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with Adobe Premiere is a plus but not required 
• Familiarity with AP Style
• Ability and willingness to go on field shoots

Required Education:

• At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney Professional Internship OR Disney College Program

Preferred Education:

• Undergraduate students in their senior year or recent graduates

Additional Details:

• This internship is a hybrid internship. The intern will work some days in the office and other days remotely, so it requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated work space.
• The approximate dates of this internship are January – May/June 2023
• Candidate must be available to work full-time hours (40 hours/week, typically 8:30am- 4:30pm) in Eastern Standard Time for the duration of the internship
• Must be willing to relocate to the New York City area and provide your own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
