1st Shift Freight Handler

Pay: $16.29/HR Pay Weekly!

Schedule: Sun-Thurs 5AM until Finish 

Distribution Center Location: 1410 Gordon Food Service Dr, Plant City, FL 33563

A Freight Handler safely breaks down the product for the correct pallet configuration.

• Breaks down pallets of product to the correct height and width to be stored in the warehouse 
• Separates inbound freight
• Ensures placement of product in sufficient quantities to accommodate routine and/or special demands.
• Ensures that all products are separated by item code onto pallets

• Ensures that damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into the warehouse for sale inventory. 

• Sorts and disposes of boxes.
• Clears conveyor lines and surrounding areas of all extraneous inventory.
• Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Like any job, there are some requirements:

• You must be  18 years of age or older (required).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required  -- holidays are very important to our restaurant customers!

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions).
• Successfully passing a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check.
