About the Role

LMUK SS are currently looking for a 1st Line Service Desk Engineer to join the the Technology Services department. As part of the IT Service Desk team you will be joining of one of the top 10 defence companies in the world, and will be empowered to make a difference by contributing towards meaningful work that will support LMUK Strategic Systems' delivery on critical programmes of national importance.

In the role you will use a combination of customer service and technical skills to respond to and resolve customer issues and requests. As well as assisting users, a key element of the job will be to ensure that the IT systems that we use remain secure and available.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

Experience of using Service Desk call logging software to log, monitor, update and resolve customer problems & incidents in line with Service Level Agreements using ITIL methodology.

Experience of Windows 10 Desktop support and maintenance

Undertake daily system checks

Maintain documentation relating to support activities

Ability to develop strong troubleshooting & problem solving skills

Motivation with a willingness to further develop knowledge and experience

Desired skills, qualifications and experience

Experience of administering Microsoft Active Directory for account management

Experience of security patching Servers on Workstations

Experience of administering Microsoft Exchange

ITIL Certification 

Experience using VMware

Previous experience of VPN remote working support
